The author develops a method for computing the intersection curve of certain higher degree surfaces, denoted by him as ringed surfaces, with quadrics or cyclides. A ringed surface is, roughly spoken, a surface which is generated by a circle of variable radius, sweeping through space; a special case is given by the Dupin-cyclide. It is remarkable that the intersection method presented here is exact, i.e. it is possible to compute the parametrization of the intersection curve exactly, without using numerical approximations.
