This note describes a method for the numerical integration of functions with a singularity in the interior of a rectangular integration domain. These functions arise with self-consistency tests for magnetic domain wall models. The method first introduces a grid and divides the integration domain into a number of small rectangles. Within each rectangle a linear approximation is used for both the numerator and the (possibly singular) denominator of the integrand. These ratios of linear approximation are then integrated analytically and the sum of these exact integrals, of the locally approximated integrand, is used to approximate the integral over the whole rectangle. The method is compared with the product midpoint method and is found to be much more accurate.
