Let \(M\) and \(N\) be smooth locally compact Riemannian manifolds with positive injectivity radii and \(B\) be a bounded and Lipschitz continuous map from \(M \times N\) to the tangent bundle \(TM\). The present paper treats ordinary differential equations of the form \({dZ^ \varepsilon(t) \over dt} = \varepsilon B(Z^ \varepsilon(t),f^ ty)\) where \(f^ t\) is a hyperbolic flow on \(N\). The large deviation bounds for the averaging principle are obtained in this paper in the form which appeared previously in the papers of \textit{M. I. Frejdlin} in Sov. Math., Dokl. 17, 104-108 (1976); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 226, 273-276 (1976; Zbl 0351.34035) and Russ. Math. Surv. 33, 117-176 (1978); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 33, No. 5, 107-160 (1978; Zbl 0407.60015) for the case when the flow \(f^ t\) is replaced by a Markov process satisfying the Doeblin condition.
