Continuing his earlier paper [Manuscr. Math. 76, 85-104 (1992; Zbl 0759.11018)] the author now deals with the Eisenstein series of Siegel type on the quaternion half-space of degree \(n\) \[ E_ n(k,s,Z)=\sum_{{{*\;*} \choose {C\;D}}:{{*\;*} \choose {0\;*}}\setminus \Gamma_ n} \text{det}(CZ+D)^{-k}|\text{det} (CZ+D)|^{-s}, \] where \(k\) is an even integer, \(s\in\mathbb{C}\) and \(\Gamma_ n\) denotes the modular group of degree \(n\) over the Hurwitz order [for details confer the reviewer's book, Modular forms on half-spaces of quaternions (Lect. Notes Math. 1143) (Springer 1985; Zbl 0564.10032)]. The meromorphic continuation of this Eisenstein series is derived. \(E_ n(k,0,Z)\) turns out to be finite and a holomorphic modular form, whenever \(k>2n\) or \(k<2n\) and \(k\equiv 0\pmod 4\). In the latter case the modular form proves to be singular. Moreover \(E_ n(2n-2,s,Z)\) is investigated for odd \(n\). Finally the functional equation of \(E_ n(0,s;Z)\) under \(s\mapsto 4n-2- s\) is derived. The proof is based on calculating the Siegel series in a way analogous to Shimura's and Kitaoka's method.
