Injective analytic maps (Q1210406)

This paper is concerned with injective map germs \(f:(\mathbb{C}^ n,0) \to (\mathbb{C}^{n+1},0)\), specifically with the question of how big the rank of \(df(0)\) must be. It is shown that if the image of the germ is ``good'', then rank \(df(0) \geq n-1\). Moreover, \(\text{im} f=(X,0)\) is an equisingular family of plane curve singularities over a smooth base space \((\mathbb{C}^{n-1},0)\).
