The author proposes a subtraction procedure for the removal of both ultraviolet (infinite \(k\)) and infrared (finite \(k\)) divergences of momentum-space Feynman integrals \[ T_\varepsilon(p)=\int d^{4m}k R_\varepsilon(p_1,\dots,p_n; \, k_1,\dots,k_m) \] contributing to the connected Green functions of renormalized quantum fields. He shows that if certain power-counting criteria are satisfied, the integral \[ T_\varepsilon(\varphi)=\int d^{4m}k d^{4n}p\varphi(n)R_\varepsilon(p;k) \] converges absolutely for arbitrary \(\varepsilon>0\) and \(\varphi\in\mathcal S(\mathbb R^{4n})\), and, moreover, in the case of a one-particle irreducible diagram, the integral \(T_\varepsilon(p)\) converges absolutely for arbitrary \(\varepsilon>0\) and non-exceptional (Euclidean sense) \(p_i\). These results, which are applicable to a wide range of Lagrangian field theories, generalize previous theorems of \textit{W. Zimmermann} [Commun. Math. Phys. 11, 1--8 (1968); 15, 208--234 (1969; Zbl 0212.29203)] to cases where some or all mass parameters vanish.
