The fuzzy entropy concept and its application (Q1254982)

The uniqueness of this paper rests upon the application of the fuzzy entropy to the seal impression problem to measure the subjective value of information under the condition of uncertainty. Upon introducing two methods for pattern recognition, successive and direct segmentation, the authors attempt to find out which is more cost-effective for a particular case, which may be further generalized. A parametric analysis among the membership function, fuzzy entropy, and threshold level is concisely made and a summary graph exhibited.
