    The aim of the article is to classify all flat deformations: \[ \begin{matrix} Y & {\overset {i} \hookrightarrow} & X \\ \downarrow & & \downarrow f \\ \{0\} & \hookrightarrow & S \end{matrix} \] where \(Y\) and \(X\) are affine torus varieties, \(i\) is a toric morphism with \(i(0)=0\), and 0 is an isolated singularity of \(Y\). Then \(i\) restricts to an embedding of torus \(T_ Y=\text{Spec} \mathbb{C}[M'] \hookrightarrow T_ X=\text{Spec} \mathbb{C}[M]\) which is induced by a surjection of lattices \(i^*:M \simeq \mathbb{Z}^ n \to M/L=M' \simeq \mathbb{Z}^ n\). If \(X\) is given by a cone \(\sigma\) in the dual lattice \(N\) of \(M\), all such deformations are completely described in terms of \(\sigma\) and the sublattice \(L \subset M\). The deformation \(f:X \to S\) of \(Y\) induces a deformation \(T_ X \to S\) of \(T_ Y\), then \(S\) is smooth, the ideal \(I\) that defines \(Y \subset X\) is generated by polynomials \(x^ r-x^ s \in \mathbb{C} [\check \sigma \cap M]\), with \(r-s\) generators of \(L\), and \(Y \subset X\) is a relative complete intersection. The author gives then the following description: \(f:X \to S \simeq \mathbb{C}^ m\) is a deformation of the isolated singularity \((Y,0)\) defined by the generators \(r^ i_ 0-r^ i_ 1\), \(1 \leq i \leq m\), of the sublattice \(L\), iff for all proper faces \(\tau<\sigma\), one of the following conditions is fulfilled: --\ \ there is \(i\), \(1 \leq i \leq m\), \(r^ i_ 0 \in \tau^ \perp\), \(r^ i_ 1 \notin \tau^ \perp\), or --\ \ \(\tau=\langle a^ 1,\dots,a^ k \rangle\) is smooth and there exists \(l\), \(0 \leq l \leq k-1\), with \(\langle a^ j,r^ i_ 0 \rangle=\delta_{ij}\) for \(i \leq l\) and \(\langle a^ j,r^ i_ t \rangle=0\) elsewhere. Then the author can give some properties of the top dimensional faces \(\tau\) of \(\sigma\) and in the second part he determines all abstract cones that respect this strong condition. He gives the list of the possibilities for cones \(\sigma\) with generators \(r^ i_ 0-r^ i_ 1\) of \(L\) such that \(f:X \to S\) is a deformation of \(Y\) with previous properties and such that \(X \backslash \{0\}\) admits at most cyclic quotient singularities. There are five families of such cones, and in the last part of the article the author studies more precisely three of them: squeezable cones given by cones over a hexagon; the other two consist of the simplest cones one can think about.
