A finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field k is domestic iff all but finitely many in each dimension, indecomposable finite dimensional A-modules can be parametrized by a finite number of families of indecomposable finite dimensional k[X]-modules, where k[X] is the polynomial algebra in one variable. A is n-parametric if A is domestic and the minimal number of families one needs for this parametrization is just n. The authors characterize basic, simply connected algebras (i.e. triangular algebras such that for each presentation of A as a bound quiver the fundamental group is trivial) having the property that the trivial extension algebra T(A) of A by its minimal injective cogenerator is domestic. It is shown that T(A) is domestic (equivalently 2-parametric) iff A is an iterated tilted algebra of Euclidean type \(\tilde D_ n\) or \(\tilde E_ p\).
