It is well-known that the system \(u_t= u_4+v^2\), \(v_t= {1\over 5}v_4\) has one symmetry of order 6, but no others were found up to order 53. The main purpose of this paper is to prove that no other symmetries exist. To prove this the authors use the symbolic method of Gelfand-Dickey and \(p\)-adic analysis. With this method one can translate solvability questions into divisibility ones.
