The generalized Gelfand-Graev representations of \(U(3,q)\) (Q1265524)

There is one generalized Gelfand-Graev representation, \(\Gamma_{1.5}\), of \(U(3,q)\), distinct from the regular representation and the usual Gelfand-Graev representation. In this paper, the standard basis of the Hecke algebra \(H_{1.5}\) is calculated, a partial extension for \(U(3,q)\) of a result of \textit{C. W. Curtis} [J. Algebra 157, No. 2, 517-533 (1993; Zbl 0787.20026)] is proved, and formulas for the Hecke algebra representations corresponding to all characters of degree greater than 1 for \(U(3,q)\), \(q\) odd, are obtained.
