      The authors establish the existence and uniqueness of nonlinear singular integral equations which describe the profiles of turbomachines in steady incompressible motion. First, they prove the existence and uniqueness of nonlinear singular integral equations defined on a Banach space. Further, they deal with the existence of the nonlinear singular equations of the first and the second kind which are defined over a finite set of contours. Moreover, the authors study the nonlinear singular integral equations over a finite number of arbitrary ordered arcs. Finally, they give an application to fluid mechanics.
