The first author and Guihua Gong classified in 1994 approximately homogeneous \(C^{\ast}\)-algebras of real rank zero with slow dimension growth by algebraic invariants based on ordered \(K\)-theory and an infinite number of natural transformations. In this paper, the authors expose and explain the relations between the order structure and the ideals of the \(C^{\ast}\)-algebras in question. As an application, a new complete invariant for a large class of approximately homogeneous \(C^{\ast}\)-algebras is given. This invariant requires computation of only four natural transformations.
