    Let \(f:M\to\widetilde M\) be an isometric immersion of a Riemannian manifold \(M\) into a Riemannian manifold \(\widetilde M\). If for each geodesic \(\sigma\) through \(p\) in \(M\), the curve \(f\circ \sigma\) in \(\widetilde M\) has constant curvatures and they are independent of the choice of the geodesic through \(p\), then \(M\) is called a helical submanifold at \(p\). In this paper, the author studies relations between isometric immersions and helical curves when \(M\) and \(\widetilde M\) are pseudo-Riemannian manifolds, with special attention to the case \(\widetilde M\) being of constant curvature.
