The authors investigate a deterministic, discrete-time, two-patch predator-prey model with harvesting. The model has a similar structure as the one introduced by \textit{G.N. Tuck} and \textit{H.P. Possingham} [Bull. Math. Biol. 56, No. 1, 107-127 (1994; Zbl 0789.92024)]. They study optimal harvesting for the system with negligible cost and cost inclusion, and compare the results to an analogous unconnected two-patch predator-prey system and a well-mixed predator-prey system. Some generalizations of the rules for a single harvested species in patchy environments are given.
