The paper considers the problem of finding a function \(v(x,y)= u(x,y,0)\) \((-\infty<x, y<\infty)\) as the boundary value of a Cauchy problem for the Laplace equation in the domain \(D= \{(x,y,z): -\infty<x, y<\infty, 0< z<\phi(x,y)\}\), where the solution \(u\) and all derivatives \(u_x\), \(u_y\), \(u_z\) are given on the sub-boundary represented by the surface \(z= \phi(x,y)\) with a function \(\phi\) from \(C^1\). The problem is reformulated as an integral equation problem and solved by Fourier transform Tikhonov regularization. The main theorem of the paper shows that there exist regularized solutions which converge to the exact solution \(v_0(x,y)\) of the problem with an order \(\left(\ln{1\over\varepsilon}\right)^{-1}\) as \(\varepsilon\to 0\) provided that \(v_0\in H^1(\mathbb{R}^2)\) and \(\varepsilon\) is the noise level of the given data.
