The author reveals the fundamental contradiction in the theory of constitutive equations for polycrystal solid: in the general theory it is impossible to exclude rotation relative to some fixed privileged configuration when the principle of material frame-indifference is applied. The author illustrates this fact by using some formulae. To overcome the contradiction, it is assumed that the constitutive equations depend additionally on a rotational variable for which an equation is derived. This approach is equivalent to the problem of finding a privileged configuration, similar to Mandel's isoclinic configuration. Consequently, this problem is reduced to the determination of equations for plastic spin. To derive the unique equation for multiple plastic spin for polycrystals, the author formulates a principle of minimum dissipation rate at time \(t+\Delta t\), using some assumptions which include the postulate of realizability. It is claimed that this approach can provide much more concrete results than the method based on the usual representation theorem by \textit{B. Loret} and \textit{Y. F. Dafalias} [J. Mech. Phys. Solids 40, No. 2, 417-439 (1992)].
