The paper investigates generalized versions, in various topological categories, of the usual topological notions of \(T_3\) and \(T_4\). This is accomplished by first reducing the concepts of \(T_3\) and \(T_4\) to those of \(T_1\) and \(T_2\) and then by applying well-known topological categorical generalizations of \(T_1\) and \(T_2\). The reductions are based on the observations that a \(T_1\) topological space \(X\) is \(T_3\) iff for any non-empty subset \(F\) of \(X\), \(X/F\) is \(T_2\) if it is \(T_1\), and that a topological space \(X\) is \(T_4\) iff it is \(T_1\) and for any non-empty subset \(F\) of \(X\), \(X/F\) is \(T_3\) if it is \(T_1\). Because there are several ways of extending \(T_1\) and \(T_2\) to arbitrary topological categories, the same is true of \(T_3\) and \(T_4\) and the author discusses 4 such generalizations of each. Technical conditions on an object in the categories of (constant) filter convergence spaces and (pre-)bornological spaces are given for it to be such a generalized \(T_3\) or \(T_4\) object.
