    Let us denote by \(I(\varphi, q)\) the Fourier integral operator on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with phase function \(\varphi\) and symbol \(q\in S^m_\rho\). If \(p_j\in S^{m_j}\), \(1\leq j\leq L+1\) and all the canonical maps \(\omega_j\) associated with phase functions \(\varphi_j\) are sufficiently close to the identity we have \[ I(\varphi,q)= I(\varphi_{L+ 1}, p_{L+1})\cdots I(\varphi_1, p_1) \] for some phase function \(\varphi\) and some symbol \(q\in S^m_\rho\), \(m= \sum_{1\leq j\leq L+1} m_j\). Moreover, \textit{H. Kumano-go} and \textit{K. Taniguchi} [Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 22, 161-196 (1979; Zbl 0568.35092)] proved the following estimate: for any \(\ell, \ell'\in \mathbb{N}\), there exist a positive constant \(C\) and \(\ell_1, \ell_1'\in\mathbb{N}\) such that \[ | q|^{(m)}_{\ell,\ell'}\leq C^L \prod_{1\leq j\leq L+1}| p_j|^{(m_j)}_{\ell_1,\ell_1'}, \] where \(|\cdot|^{(m)}_{\ell,\ell'}\) denotes the seminorm of \(S^m_\rho\). The aim of this paper is to relax the condition for the canonical maps \(\omega_j\).
