Let \(U_q\mathfrak g\) be the quantized enveloping algebra of a semisimple complex Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) and \(\mathcal A_q G\) its restricted Hopf dual. The authors provide a classification of all the bicovariant differential calculi on \(\mathcal A_q G\) in the case when the root and the weight lattices for \(\mathfrak g\) are equal. The related construction is valid for any factorizable co-quasi-triangular Hopf algebra. The modifications needed in the case when the root and the weight lattices differ are discussed as well. The key step is a description of finite-codimensional right ideals of \(\mathcal A_q G\) which are, at the same time, subcomodules of \(\mathcal A_q G\) w.r.t. the right coaction \(\delta:\mathcal A_q G\to\mathcal A_q G\otimes\mathcal A_q G: a\mapsto a_{(2)}\otimes S(a_{(1)})a_{(3)}\) As a byproduct, a new formula for Rosso's bilinear form is given.
