The first result of this paper is a characterization for the Green operator being bounded from \(L^p\) to \(L^\infty\). After introducing several classes of perturbations of the Laplacian, criteria are given for potentials to belong to these classes. This also yields criteria for the Martin boundary of the Schrödinger operator being homeomorphic to the Euclidean boundary. Both smooth and non-smooth domains can be handled. Under a capacitary density condition the author proves a generalization of the Cranston-McConnell inequality as well as a criterion for bounded John domains which guarantees that the family of the positive superharmonic functions on a domain \(D\) is contained in \(L^p(D)\).
