The paper constructs explicit Green currents for certain cycles in projective algebraic manifolds (or even Kähler manifolds). Recall that in Arakelov intersection theory the contributions at infinity are defined by such currents. These are easy to find for codimension one (or line bundles), but in general their existence follows only from resolution of singularities. The paper under review constructs explicit Green currents for global complete intersections, thus generalising (and in some sense ultimately reducing to) the case of line bundles. To get them one meromorphically continues an explicit zeta-integral defined for complex \(\lambda\) with \(\text{Re} (\lambda) \gg 0\), to around \(\lambda =0\), and takes the constant term in the Laurent-expansion at \(\lambda =0\). As an application one can check positivity, and obtain explicit formulas for heights of arithmetic cycles in projective space.
