The authors generalize some earlier results due to \textit{T. Kusano} and \textit{H. Onose} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 40, 219-224 (1973; Zbl 0268.34075)] concerning higher-order differential equations with delays. Thus, the asymptotic and the oscillatory behaviour of solutions to the equation \[ x^{(n)} (t)+f\bigl({t,x(t),x(g(t))}\bigr)=h(t), \] is studied under suitable regularity and growth conditions imposed on \(f\), \(g\), \(h\).
