Stability of birth-and-death processes (Q1273379)

The paper gives explicit bounds for the distance of the distribution of the state probabilities of a perturbed birth and death process from that of a nonperturbed birth and death process. The methods used are the same as that to get upper and lower bounds of the rate of convergence of nonhomogeneous birth and death processes. The bounds are exact in time.
