Simple \(8\)-designs with small parameters (Q1273504)

This is an important paper. The authors give explicit constructions for simple 8-\((31, 10, 93)\) and 8-\((31, 10, 100)\) designs. The designs are constructed with \(\text{PSL}(3, 5)\) as automorphism group, although it may not be the full automorphism group. The authors obtain 138 designs with \(\lambda= 93\) and 1658 designs with \(\lambda=100\). For each \(\lambda\) value, they give 3 designs in complete detail.
