A time-recursive algorithm for the computation of discrete auto-ambiguity function is given, which is used to compute the Wigner time-frequency distribution. A block diagram implementation of this algorithm is described. The structure of this algorithm is modular and parallel. Therefore this method seems to be attractive for real-time computation via parallel implementation.
