The authors prove that the Hodge-decomposition theorem is not true in the picture of \( L ^1 \) and measure differential forms. Some very nice counterexamples are pointed out. The case \( L ^p \) with \( p \geq 2 \) can be found in \textit{M. Cantor} [Bull. Am. Math. Soc., New Ser. 5, 235-262 (1981; Zbl 0481.58023)] and \textit{C. Scott} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 347, No. 6, 2075-2096 (1995; Zbl 0849.58002)].
