On extremal subspaces for classes of functions defined by kernels that do not increase oscillation (Q1275972)

The paper deals with the classes of periodic functions prescribed by the convolution with kernel that does not increase the oscillation. A family of subspaces for the even widths (in the sense of Kolmogorov) is found for the above mentioned class of functions. The subspaces represent the generalizations of spaces of polynomial splines.
