The paper is the fourth part of a study on some topological type categories: FIL, CONT, m-CONT, MER. The objects of the category MER are merotopic spaces, i.e. pairs \((X,\mathcal T)\) where \(X\) is the underlying set and \(\mathcal T\) is a looseness on \(X\). A morphism of MER is a mapping \(f:(X,\mathcal T)\to(X',\mathcal T')\) between merotopic spaces which is \((\mathcal T,\mathcal T')\)-continuous. The author establishes several properties of reflection in MER concerning two special types of looseness: Riesz and Lodato.
