Extensions of cocycles in \(BN\)-pairs (Q1276976)

This paper deals with studying cohomology of a \(BN\)-pair \(G\). From the work of \textit{J. Tits} [Bull. Soc. Math. Belg., Sér. A 38, 367-387 (1986; Zbl 0626.20027)], it follows that the first cohomology groups \(H(G,M)\), where \(M\) is a \(G\)-module, can be computed, in a sense, within rank 2 parabolics. In this paper, a generalization of this fact is proved, namely that the \(k\)-th cohomology group can be computed within rank \(k+1\) parabolics.
