In this paper the author extends the results obtained by \textit{Yu. I. Lyubarskij} and \textit{K. Seip} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 13, No. 2, 361-376 (1997; Zbl 0918.42003)] from the case \(1<p<\infty\) to the case \(0<p\leq 1\), for the Paley-Wiener space \(L^p_{\pi}\). Let \(\Lambda=\{ \lambda_j \}\) be a discrete set of real numbers. \(\Lambda\) is called a \textit{set of sampling} if there are positive constants \(A,B\) such that \(A\|f\|_p^p \leq \sum_{\lambda_j\in\Lambda}|f(\lambda_j)|^p \leq B\|f \|_p^p\), for every \(f\in L^p_{\pi}\). \(\Lambda\) is said a \textit{set of interpolation} if for every sequence \(w\in l^p\) there is a function \(f\in L^p_{\pi}\) such that \(f(\lambda_j)=w_j\). \(\Lambda\) is said uniformly discrete if there is \(\delta>0\) such that \(|\lambda_i -\lambda_j|\geq\delta\), for \(i\neq j\). Let \(\overline{n}(r)=\sup_x([x,x+r] \cap\Lambda)\), \(\underline{n}(r) =\inf_x ([x,x+r]\cap\Lambda)\) and \(\text{u.u.d.}(\Lambda)=\lim_{r\rightarrow\infty}{\overline{n}(r) \over r}\), \(\text{l.u.d.}(\Lambda)=\lim_{r\rightarrow\infty} {\underline{n}(r) \over r}\) the upper, respectively lower uniform density. Then, the main results of this paper read as follows: Theorem 2.1. A discrete set \(\Lambda\) is a set of sampling for \(L^p_{\pi}\) iff it can be expressed as a finite union of uniformly discrete sets and contains a uniformly discrete subset \(\Lambda'\) for which \(\text{l.u.d.}(\Lambda') >1\). Theorem 2.2. A discrete set \(\Lambda\) is a set of interpolation for \(L^p_{\pi}\) iff it is uniformly discrete and \(\text{u.u.d.}(\Lambda)<1\).
