In [Fundam. Math. 45, 237-246 (1958; Zbl 0081.16703)] \textit{S. Mrówka} introduced and studied the concept of convergence of nets of subsets in topology, which is an extension of the Moore-Smith convergence theory and possesses a lot of important applications. With the requirement of fuzzy setting, \textit{P.-M. Pu} and \textit{Y.-M. Liu} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 76, 571-599 (1980; Zbl 0447.54006)] introduced the notion of fuzzy nets and \(Q\)-neighborhoods, and established Moore-Smith convergence theory in fuzzy topology by the \(Q\)-neighborhood structure. In [ibid. 94, 1-23 (1983; Zbl 0512.54006)] \textit{G. Wang} introduced the concept of \(R\)-neighborhood instead of \(Q\)-neighborhood to establish Moore-Smith convergence theory and presented a fuzzy compactness defined by fuzzy nets. In [Fuzzy Math. 3, No. 4, 41-52 (1983; Zbl 0569.54007)] \textit{R. Lowen} further extended its scope by establishing the equivalence of a fuzzy net and a prefilter. In [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 51, No. 1, 41-51 (1992; Zbl 0786.54006)] \textit{R. D. Sarma} and \textit{N. Ajmal} introduced the notion of fuzzy nets of fuzzy sets based on \(Q\)-neighborhood structure. In [ibid., 89-94 (1992; Zbl 0788.54004); J. Fuzzy Math. 2, No. 3, 517-524 (1994; Zbl 0828.54007); Theory of \(R\)-convergence of nets in fuzzy lattices and its applications, BUSEFAL 55, 60-66 (1993)] the authors presented the concepts of \(R\)-convergence and \(\theta\)-convergence of molecular nets, and convergence of nets of \(L\)-fuzzy sets in \(L\)-fuzzy topology by using the notion of \(R\)-neighborhood structure, and introduced the notions of almost \(F\)-compactness, \(L\)-fuzzy \(H\)-sets and so on with the aid of these concepts. In this paper the authors further generalize the above notions and establish a \(\theta\)-convergence theory of nets of \(L\)-fuzzy sets in \(L\)-fuzzy topology. They give some equivalent characterizations with respect to \(L\)-fuzzy \(\theta\)-closed sets, \(L\)-fuzzy \(\theta\)-open sets, and weakly continuous order-homomorphisms by means of \(\theta\)-convergence theory.
