Almost isometric singular foliations (Q1279765)

Almost isometric singular foliations have been introduced by \textit{P. Molino} [Sémin. Gaston Darboux Géom. Topologie Différ. 1989-1990, No. 7, 57-68 (1991; Zbl 0734.57019)]. In this paper, the author recalls the construction of the so-called ``horizontal structural Lie algebra'' for such a foliation and proves that such Lie algebra is finite-dimensional in the particular case of foliations of codimension 1 or 2. Moreover, a classification of such foliations on 4-dimensional compact manifolds is given.
