The authors continue their study of Frobenius functions on wings and tubes, which started in their paper [in CMS Conf. Proc. 18, 17-37 (1996; Zbl 0858.16010)]. Let \(\Gamma=(\Gamma_0,\Gamma_1,\tau)\) be a translation quiver (without multiple arrows), and let \(f\colon\Gamma_0\to\mathbb{Z}\) be an integral valued function. For any \(z\in\Gamma_0\) a nonprojective vertex, we define \(\delta(z)=f(z)+f(\tau z)-\sum_{y\to z}f(y)\). The function \(f\) is called a Frobenius function on \(\Gamma\) if \(\delta(z)\neq 0\) implies \(\delta(z)>f(z)\) and \(\delta(z)>f(\tau z)\). If a Frobenius function \(f\) takes positive values only, then \(f\) is called a positive Frobenius function. In the paper under review the authors show that each positive Frobenius function on the wing \(W(n)\) and the stable tube \(T(n)\) can be realized as a length function on a convex subquiver of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of a finite-dimensional, basic special biserial algebra.
