It has been shown in [\textit{S.-J. Kang} et al., Int. J. Mod. Phys. A 7, Suppl. 1A, 449-484 (1992; Zbl 0925.17005)] that the crystal \(B(\lambda)\) for the integrable highest weight representation \(V(\lambda)\) of level \(l\) with dominant highest weight \(\lambda\) of the quantum affine algebra \(U_q(g)\) can be realized explicitly in terms of some combinatorial objects called paths. A path is an element of the semi-infinite tensor product \(\cdots\otimes B_l\otimes B_l\otimes B_l\) where \(B_l\) is the perfect crystal of level \(l\) for \(U_q(g)\). A perfect crystal is a crystal associated with a certain finite-dimensional representation of the derived quantum affine algebra \(U_q'(g)\). In [\textit{S. J. Kang} et al., Duke Math. J. 68, 499-607 (1992; Zbl 0774.17017)] perfect crystals of level \(l\) were given for each quantum affine algebra of classical type. In this paper, for each positive integer \(l\) the author has constructed a perfect crystal of level \(l\) for the non-classical quantum affine algebra \(U_q(G_2^{(1)})\). This in turn gives explicit path realizations of the crystals for the integrable highest weight representations of the quantum affine algebra \(U_q(G_2^{(1)})\).
