We consider bounds on the probability of failure free operation assuming that some distribution parameters (moments and quantiles) are known, and that the distribution itself has an aging property. Aging properties and the corresponding classes of aging distribution functions (d.f.s) are ranked in accordance with established traditions. The classes are ordered by their equivalence with respect to the \({\mathfrak I}\)-transform (recall that the \({\mathfrak I}\)-transform of the d.f. \(F\) is defined as \(S_F(x)= \int^x_0 \overline F(u)du\), where \(\overline F=1-F)\). The article is an analytical survey. Besides some original results for NBU-GE, NWU-GE, NBUE, NWUE, HNBUE and HNWUE d.f.s, the article also presents for the sake of completeness well-known results for DMRL, IMRL, NBU, NWU, DMRLHA and IMRLHA d.f.s. The bounds obtained in this article are useful in various applications. In particular, sometimes experimental results produce only the mean time to failure and the normative system reliability, and in addition detect the presence of some aging properties. This case has been studied in greatest detail. The distribution functions are assumed left-continuous. Otherwise, some inequalities may break down at the points of discontinuity.
