A germ of a meromorphic function on \((\mathbb C^{n+1},0)\) is a fraction \(f =P/Q,\) where \(P\) and \(Q\) are germs of holomorphic functions \((\mathbb C^{n+1}, 0)\to (\mathbb C, 0).\) The \(0\)- or \(\infty\)-monodromy operator means the action of the corresponding monodromy transformation in a homology group of the Milnor fiber. In this paper the author calculates the zeta functions of the monodromy of a meromorphic function. Let \(\pi:\mathcal X\to\mathcal U\) be a resolution of the germ \(f.\) The preimage \(\mathcal D=\pi^{-1}(0)\) of the origin of \(\mathbb C^{n+1}\) is a normal crossing divisor. Let \(S_{k,l}\) be the set of the divisor \(\mathcal D\) in whose neighborhoods, in some local coordinates, the liftings \(P\circ\pi\) and \(Q\circ\pi\) of the functions \(P\) and \(Q\) have the form \(uy^k_0\) and \(vy^l_0,\) respectively \((u(0)\neq 0,v(0)\neq 0,).\) By a slight modification of the arguments of \textit{N. A' Campo} [Comment. Math. Helv. 50, 233-248 (1975; Zbl 0333.14008)], the following version of his formula for zeta function is obtained. Let a resolution \(\pi\) be an isomorphism outside the hypersurface \(H=\{P=0\}\cup\{Q=0\}.\) In this case, \[ \zeta_f^0=\prod_{k>l}(1-t^{k-l})^{\chi(S_{k,l})},\quad \zeta_f^\infty=\prod_{k<l}(1-t^{l-k})^{\chi(S_{k,l})}. \] The zeta functions of meromorphic functions in terms of partial resolutions and in terms of Newton diagrams are obtained as well as a Varchenko-type formula [\textit{A.~N. Varchenko}, Invent. Math. 37, 253-262 (1976; Zbl 0434.14017)], for the case \(f=P(z_0,z_1,\dots,z_n)/z_0^d.\) As an example, the zeta functions for two germs, \(f=(x^3-xy)/y\) and \(f=(xyz+x^p+y^q+ z^r)/(x^d+ y^d+z^d), 1/p+1/q+1/r<1,\) are computed.
