Riesz distributions are the analytic continuation of the distributions defined by a relatively invariant measure on a homogeneous cone. In this paper, the author studies certain cases coming from a Siegel domain of tube type. A completely solvable Lie group \(H\) and a cone \(\Omega\) on which \(H\) acts simply transitively are defined using the algebraic structure of normal \(j\)-algebras [cf. \textit{I. I. Pyatetskii-Shapiro}: Automorphic functions and the geometry of classical domains (New York 1969; Zbl 0196.09901)]. The author gives an \(H\)-orbit decomposition of the closure \(\overline\Omega\) of \(\Omega\), and calculates on each \(H\)-orbit a relatively invariant measure under this \(H\)-action. Then he gives an explicit description of each of the positive Riesz distributions on \(\Omega\) as a measure on an \(H\)-orbit in \(\overline\Omega\). Being related to the orbit structure in \(\overline \Omega\), the structure of the positivity set for the Riesz distributions is clearly understood. This note is simply an announcement of neatly explained results and the complete paper will appear elsewhere.
