Two new variants of the full orthogonal method (FOM) and the generalized minimal residual (GMRES) algorithm for solving large and sparse nonsymmetric linear systems are given. To accelerate the convergence a different inner product instead of the Euclidean one is used. Numerical results show the good performances of the new methods.
