For \(R>1\) let \(E_R\) be the ellipse with foci at \(\pm 1\) and axes \(R\pm 1/R\). The authors consider Hermite interpolation at the zeroes of the Chebyshev polynomials \(T_m(z)\) for functions \(f\) analytic in \(E_R\). In the first part of the paper [\textit{A. Jakimovski} and \textit{A. Sharma}, Pure Appl. Math., Marcel Dekker 212, 293-333 (1998; Zbl 0901.41001)] they obtained an explicit representation of the Hermite interpolating polynomial in terms of the coefficients of the Chebyshev expansion of \(f\), and deduced a Walsh type equiconvergence theorem. In the second part, the paper under review, they obtain for Hermite interpolation on Chebyshev nodes of analytic functions in \(E_R\) with a singularity on the boundary of \(E_R\), quantitative results analogous to those derived by \textit{V. Totik} [J. Approximation Theory 47, 173-183 (1986; Zbl 0587.41001)] for Lagrange interpolation of analytic functions on the unit disc on the \(m\)-th roots of unity.
