This paper considers the effect of blowing/suction on steady two-dimensional laminar non-Darcy forced convection flow over a flat plate with variable wall temperature embedded in a porous medium. The uncoupled nonlinear momentum and energy boundary-layer equations are first transformed to a non-similar form, and then are solved numerically using the Keller box method. The involved parameters are the streamwise coordinate \(\xi\), the modified local Reynolds number Re, Prandtl number Pr, exponent of wall temperature \(\lambda\), and blowing/suction parameter \(f_w\). Numerical computations are carried out for Re ranging from 0 to 100, Pr ranging from \(10^{-4}\) to \(10^4\), \(\lambda=0.0\), 0.5 and 1.0, and \(f_w\) ranging from -1.0 to 1.0. The author presents numerical results for velocity profiles, temperature profiles, local skin friction coefficient and local Nussel number. It is also found that increasing the values of Pr, \(\lambda\), Re and \(\xi\) enhances the local Nusselt number. In addition, the local Nusselt number approaches a constant value for small and large values of \(\xi\). Moreover, the local skin friction coefficient and the local Nusselt number increases with suction, but the effect of blowing is just opposite.
