Accumulation points of \(L\)-(fuzzy) sets in \(L\)-(fuzzy) topological spaces and related concepts are of a steady interest of ``fuzzy topologists'' since the early eighties (see e.g. [\textit{Pu Paoming} and \textit{Liu Yingming}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 76, 571-599 (1980; Zbl 0447.54006)]). Criticizing certain shortages of the previous work done in this direction the authors propose a new approach to the definition and investigation of these concepts in case when \(L\) is a completely distributive lattice endowed with an order reversing involution. This approach is based on the operation of quasi-difference \(A\backslash\backslash B\) of \(L\)-sets \(A\) and \(B\) introduced in the paper. (In case \(L=\{0,1\}\) quasi-difference turns into the usual operation of difference of sets.) An \(L\)-point \(x^\lambda\) is called an accumulation point of an \(L\)-set \(A\) if every of its quasi-neighborhoods is quasi-coincident [loc. cit.] with \(A\backslash\backslash x^\lambda\). The join \(A^d\) of all accumulation points of \(A\) is called the derived set of \(A\). The main result is a new version of Yang's theorem: If the derived of every \(L\)-point \(x^\lambda\) is closed, then the derived \(A^d\) of each \(L\)-set \(A\) is also closed. Some modifications and corollaries of this theorem are obtained, too.
