Transformations of single and double hypergeometric series from the triple sum series for the 9-\(j\) coefficients (Q1283478)

By using two different expressions for the 9-\(j\) angular momentum recoupling coefficient [\textit{S. I. Alishauskas} and \textit{A. P. Jucis}, J. Math. Phys. 12, 594-605 (1971; Zbl 0214.28902)], the authors give new proofs of Bailey transform for a Saalschützian \({}_4F_3(1)\) [\textit{L. J. Slater}, Generalized hypergeometric functions, p. 64 (1966; Zbl 0135.28101)] and of the transformation of a Kampé de Fériet function into a Saalschützian \({}_4F_3(1)\). This last result is the terminating from of formula (5) in [\textit{P. W. Karlsson}, J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. 27, No. 20, 6943-6945 (1994; Zbl 0846.33011)].
