The authors consider the incomplete gamma function \[ F_m(t)= \int^1_0u^{2m} \exp(-tu^2)du \] and their possible use in calculation of two-electron integrals in a mixed Gaussian and plane-wave basis set. Asymptotes and upper bounds for \(F_m(t)\) are obtained.
