Let \(f_1\) and \(f_2\) be non-constant meromorphic functions in the complex plane \(\mathbb{C}\). The paper pursues a deeper investigation of the results which conclude that either \(f_1= f_2\) or the functions are, at least, simply/polynomially related, when ``minor sharing'' could be realized. The paper indicates the relevant background and establishes two significant/deep theorems, which may together be stated more briefly/elegantly. We however close in an illustrative manner. Let \(a_1= 0\), \(a_2=\infty\), \(a_3= 1\), and \(a_4\in\mathbb{C}- \{0,1\}\). Let \(E_k(a_j,f_u)\), the set of all \(a_j\)-points of \(f_u\) with multiplicies \(\leq k\), be independent of \(u\) \((= 1,2)\), for each positive integer \(k\) and for \(j= 1,2\). Now, results like the following are proved: \[ f_1= f_2,\quad\text{if }a_4\text{ is not }-1,1/2,\;2\text{ and }E_k(a_j, f_1)= E_k(a_j, f_2),\quad\text{for }j= 3,4,\tag{\(*\)} \] and for some integer \(k\geq 12\). Either \(f_1f_2= 1\) or \(f_1+f_2= 0\) or \(f_1= f_2\), if \(a_4= -1\) and \((*)\) holds for some integer \(k\geq 7\). Gaps for further investigation are identified.
