The author investigates the restricted Hill four-body problem and applies the results to the study of motion of a spacecraft in the Earth-Moon-Sun system. This is made by considering the variation of Hill orbit for the Earth-Moon system. Periodic orbits and the properties of their stable and unstable manifolds are analyzed, and two particular families of periodic orbits are studied in detail. Expressions for these families contain terms related to stable and unstable properties, leading to the loss of plane stability. Unstable periodic orbits are computed for values of parameters typical of the Earth-Moon-Sun system.
