If \(S_\infty\) denotes the group of permutations on the natural numbers fixing all but a finite number then \(u\in S_\infty\) may be used to define Schubert polynomials \(S_u\in Z[X_1,X_2,\dots]\) as a homogeneous basis indexed by these. For \(u,v\in S_\infty\), the product \(S_uS_v= \Sigma_w c^w_{uv}\) \((w\in S_\infty)\) where the structure constants \(c^w_{uv}\) are positive integers whose (collective) interpretation and (combinatorial) construction is of interest, even if not completely transparent. In this useful paper a special partial order, the Grassmannian Bruhat order (GB-order), on \(S_\infty\) is considered further with an eye to progress in the description of the structure constants via a special monoid \(M\) analoguous to the nil-Coxeter monoid for the weak order on \(S_\infty\) defined via relations obtained from the GB-order having desired properties because of special characteristics of this order (and similar ones) whose derived abstract properties for descriptions of constants \(c^I_\lambda\) such that \(c^w_{uv(\lambda,\kappa)}= c^{wu-1}_\lambda\) for unique Grassmannian permutations \(v(\lambda,\kappa)\) such that \(c^w_{uv(\lambda,\kappa)}\neq 0\), where \(c^w_{uv(\lambda,\kappa)}= 0\) if \(u\nleq w\) in the \(k\)-Bruhat order associated with \(v\).
