The author extends a result of \textit{T. A. Gillespie} [Glasg. Math. J. 22, 73-75 (1981; Zbl 0455.47024)] that the strong operator closure of any \(\sigma\)-complete Boolean algebra of projections on a Banach space that does not contain a copy of \(c_0\) is Bade complete [see \textit{W. G. Bade}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 80, 345-360 (1955; Zbl 0066.36202)].
