Several authors, including \textit{G. Sági} [Semigroup Forum 58, No. 1, 94-105 (1999; Zbl 0919.20036)] obtained sets of semigroup-theoretical conditions which hold on a semigroup iff it is isomorphic to the semigroup of all non-surjective mappings on a finite set. In this short note, the author shows how Sági's finite set of conditions can be obtained from the infinite one obtained earlier by the author.
