In the first part of the paper the author studies relationships between different regularity properties of random mappings such as measurability, continuity, stochastic continuity. The second part is devoted to the substitution (i.e. Niemyckiĭ) operator. The following problem is discussed: Let \(\Phi\) an \(\Psi\) be equivalent random mappings from a metric space \(X\) into a Banach space \(Y\), and \(u\) an \(X\)-valued random variable. When \(\Phi u=\Psi u\), a.s.? Reviewer's remark: The statements of Theorem 2.5 and Proposition 3.3 are imprecise. A continuous random mapping (i.e. such that almost all sample paths are continuous) need not be measurable with respect to the product \(\sigma\)-algebra.
